The spear really was exquisite though. If she hadn't known who, or what it was crafted for, she was sure she would have guessed it forged in the heavens.
The shaft was cool to the touch. Its dark crimson color shinning with the artificial lighting of the museum. The gold scripts that ran throughout it adding only to its beauty.
She admired the weapon. . . if only it wasn't meant to be used for destruction of life. . .
"I'm glad you finally came." Shes said once she felt the soft, subtle breeze against her skin. She turned to meet the boy she'd been following. He was so. . . intriguing to her. The pull seemed stronger even that the weapon's call.
"You are starting to irritate me. Did you not say you would not follow-"
"I'm not following you." She smiled, as she walked towards him, her hands placed playfully behind her back as she stopped a mere 6 feet away from him and leaned in, "It seems that you are the one following me."
Her laughter echoed off the walls of the empty building as she noticed his hands clench into fists. He was angry, which didn't frightener her surprisingly. In fact, quite the opposite, she found it adorable.
"Tell you what, I'll make a deal with you, this time I give you my word as a wolf. We don't break those you know." She winked at him before making her way to the where the weapon rested. Her hand reached out, easily breaking through the glass of the case in which it was displayed.
"I hereby swear, upon my honor as a wolf, to relinquish my curiosity for you and leave you alone. . . should you win in a battle against me. No strings, no if, ands, or buts. . and no catches." She held the weapon at eye level as if studying it, her delicate hand stroked the tip of the spear gently. "What say you, Xelexis?" The spear twirled in her hands, humming with power as she wielded it and took her battle stance. "You up for it?"
"Oof!"
ReplyDeleteLiora flailed as she fell to the ground as Xelixas reprieved the spear in one fluid motion. He grinned in satisfaction as she looked back to him, her eyes slightly shocked and taken aback. Her interference was seriously beginning to annoy him and he'd be damned before she got in the way of his mission. He had never met someone, anyone, so determined to impede his plans. Yet, quite plainly, it was in fact her curiosity in himself that made her inevitably an obstacle in his path. Xelixas sneered; what was there to be curious about? Truly, he was naught but a mercenary, a product of his master's dark past created specifically to obey. Her obsession was pointless.
"I am finished with your games, Akuma." He had the Horseman weapon; his duty was done. Though, with this bratty child's unusual interests, it almost wasn't worth keeping the girl alive. We need her, the voice of his master echoed. He could not disobey a direct order. So, summoning the familiar blanket of darkness, he turned to take his leave.
"Then don't play along, X."
A prevalent tug on the spear pried it from Xelixas' grasp, the shock of letting his guard down for the slightest second awakening his merciless nature to the extreme. In seconds, his weapon was materialized and swinging towards Liora with blinding speed. The sound of clanging metal shook the air as she blocked his attack with the spear; Xelixas grasped the spear in his free hand and pulled it aside to strike. Dodging the horizontal slice, Liora rolled backwards and the spear shot upwards in a half circle as she came back on to her feet; Xelixas leapt the length of the spear and landed exactly behind the Horseman right as she rose to her feet. Even with her incredible speed, she wouldn't be able to cover the opening in her defenses. He thrust his weapon forward in a stab, a smug grin crossing his face in his victory. Heh... Game over, Liora Akuma.
STOP! The word boomed and ringed with such intensity, the painful exclamation of his master's voice breaking Xelixas' concentration. He faltered, for the slightest moment, but it was enough. With wondrous grace and agility, Liora disarmed him with one blow to his wrist and, twirling the spear with astute precision, knocked and pinned Xelixas to the floor on the flat of his back.
The shock and delight on her face couldn't be any more plain and her attempts to keep her composure were lacking greatly. A breathy laugh left her lips and she adjusted her foot placement in ecstatic anxiety. Her grip on the spear never wavered, however, and so Xelixas was rendered helpless as she obnoxiously fidgeted in her victory. His resentment could not be more potent than now, though he refrained from showing his master any disdain. He knew what losing this battle might cost Xelixas... perhaps it was a ploy; surely, there had to be an ingenious reason why he allowed him to forfeit the outcome of the fight to the Horseman. Whatever the reason may be, Xelixas had nothing else but to come to this conclusion and questioned not what plans his master had for him and this Akuma girl. So, one question remained...
ReplyDelete"You've won this round, Famine. I don't have time to indulge in your victory so state the conditions of your reward briskly."
She raised a disapproving eyebrow, obviously not fond that he was ruining a triumphant moment for her. She deliberated, the minutes dragging on irritatingly for Xelixas, before finally coming to a decision.
"Remove your mask."
The request befuddled him. She could have asked anything pertaining to his mission, or other significant matters at hand... yet Xelixas would have never considered such a strange demand. He couldn't understand. Why? Why was she so interested in him?
His brief period of silence possibly alerted her to the oddity of her request, for she explained, "I want to see the face that belongs to that terrific laugh."
His suspicion of this woman couldn't be helped; but, neither could reasoning with the terms she laid down and so he felt little to no choice but to adhere to her demands. He closed his eyes, willing the helmet away in breaths of darkness until it completely dissolved into the air. Xelixas couldn't help but feel vulnerable, for no one besides his master had seen his face, so he reopened his eyes slowly, cautiously, as they rested once more on the now frozen Liora Akuma.
He. . . was absolutely gorgeous. Liora stood motionless as she stared into the bright yellow eyes. They were truly breathtaking, perfectly contrasting the black of his hair.
ReplyDelete"Akuma, I do not have time for you to-" She tightened her hold on the spear, bringing it closer still to his throat to silence him.
"I will take my time, X. I have fought fair enough for my reward and I intend to enjoy it."
With the spear still poised true, she knelt slowly. It amused her greatly to see him shift uncomfortably, his eyes flashing from her to the weapon as if his life depended on its retrieval . . and what if it did? She did not wish harm to fall him.
WIth that in mind she stood once more and drew the spear back. He moved cautiously, as if her actions confused him. Of course he would, he's a mercenary, weren't they all suspicious of everything around them?
"Here." She held it out before her, but close enough to make him have to step closer to her still.
And he didn't except it, he wouldn't have. The moment his hand took hold of the spear Liora reached up taking his lips into hers. It took him by surprise, she could feel his body freeze at the contact and she relished in the fact that she had caught him off guard. With a wickedly cocky smile on her face she stepped back and intertwined her hands playfully behind her back.
"Well, go on. Isn't this about the time that you give that sexy laugh of yours and disappear in a cloud of mysteriousness?"She offered arrogantly.
He frowned, the weapon still held in the same position it had been since their kiss. . .and it was all Liora could do to not jump up and down and begin giggling like an idiot.
Waves of emotion sparked forth, some familiar and others foreign, and their clashing wakes stilled Xelixas to that of a statue. Even with the knowledge that he was once more in possession of the spear, he did not waver from the spot. Try as he might, Xelixas couldn't fully analyze and understand the peculiar emotions awakening within. Memories came flooding back, memories that were not his own, of a woman the acceleration of his heart told him he had been infatuated with. As well along with a... what was it called? Desire? A desire that had been cruelly withheld from him that now seemed fulfilled upon Liora's actions. It irritated Xelixas that he could not comprehend why these strange yet long lost memories consumed him. His heart felt heavy yet light and logic battled vigorously against these new stirrings... to no avail.
ReplyDelete"Come now, my beautiful X, have I really left you at a loss for words?" giggled Liora.
It was as if he heard her words with new ears for their mellifluous sound struck him awake from his internal struggle... and without a second thought, he lunged towards her. Somewhere off in the distance the metal of the spear clanged lightly onto the ground, but the sole entirety of Xelixas' focus lied in the fulfilling drive of having Liora's lips locked firmly in his own. The overwhelming desire pushed aside any and all notions of going against his nature as a mercenary. The excitement tore at his insides as he for once indulged himself in something he never knew he wanted to indulge himself in. These memories and emotions were not his own, Xelixas knew, but the way Liora tugged his hair and pressed her body against his... How her tongue coyly caressed over the top of his... He would've been absolutely lost had he'd been allowed to continue.
Enough, Xelixas. You dare not indulge yourself in MY sentiment any longer.
It was almost instantaneous. The voice of his master tugged away at the memories and feelings as though they were on a chain until eventually they all but ebbed away from Xelixas' subconscious. Xelixas was sure he would have felt discontent but he was denied even that luxury when the passion seeped out from him. He couldn't even wish to be granted that euphoric feeling of content. All that was left was the feeling of inconvenience of Liora's close proximity and her stubborn determination to be rid of his lack of response to her advances. He had a mission... and Xelixas was certain he would pay dearly for his one moment of weakness. He vehemently pushed her away, ignoring her gasps of exasperation, and swiftly retrieved the spear. He wasn't surprised when he felt a resisting force grab the other end of it, holding him in place.
"Wait-!"
"Do not be so vain to think I keep you alive for my own entertainment. I ravish in the thought of your blood soaking my hands... You'd be better off, wouldn't you say?" His patience worn out, he tugged the spear forcefully from Liora's grasp while beckoning the darkness to conceal his face once more. It was a mistake to gratify her requests in attempt to quell her curiosity... A mistake Xelixas would make sure he wouldn't commit again.
You're not getting away that easily!
ReplyDeleteLiora jumped in after X, not knowing exactly where she would land or whether or not she would even make it to the other side, all she knew was that he was not getting rid of her.
"Oof-" She slammed into his body, completely having caught him off guard. They tumbled forward in a tangle of arms and legs. She heard X's grunts of frustration as he attempted to push her off but she held fast to him, taking a firm hold on the spear. She, luckily enough, had landed on top, which she used at her advantage.
"What are you doing?! Get off of me, Liora!"
"I'm sure if you wanted me off you you would have thrown me off long ago." She teased, but she could tell he was not amused one bit.
"Why do you insist on pursing me, Akuma. What interest could you possible have with me."
Oh. . . the richness of his voice.. it practically sent shivers through her body. . . what would it take to get him to laugh?
"I find you absolutely sexy and irresistible. Quite frankly, I can't get how perfect your ass is out of my mind." She smiled devilishly at him.
Before she could add to her list of why she thought he was so interesting, X kicked upwards. She was thrown off balance and in the time it took her to blink he was several feet away from her, spear in hand, and with yet another portal opened behind him.
"No!" But he stepped through without a single hesitation.
Ha! If he thought he was going to get away he had another thing coming!
Just as before, Liora pushed herself up and launched herself towards the dark opening, only this time she didn't hit X. He dodged her lunge, which sent her flying downward flat on her face.
"I hate you..." She mumbled as she pushed off the hard surface of the ground. A soft rumble resounded from X. A laugh... he's amused by her pain...Not surprising.
"I'm warning you Akuma, leave me alone, or next time I will not hesitate to end your life."
Her eyes glanced over at the spear for a single moment before addressing him. "Please, if you wanted to end my life, you would have done so back before we kissed."
Damn helmet... how she wished she could see his face expression.. those hypnotic yellow eyes...
"Anyway," she continued, "You need the spear, and I have it."
Now she really, really wished she could see his expression. He turned, so sure he had the weapon in hand only to find it gone.
"How-"
"I have a few tricks up my own sleeve. Now, we have a bit of a problem don't we? You want the spear.. I want you... but I cannot very well trade you the weapon for yourself, so how shall we solve this, doll?" Liora winked at him and ginned, not being able to help herself really. She enjoyed this bit of time she had with him, knowing he would somehow dismiss her and find some way to get the weapon back without much resistance on her part. It just all boiled down to how well she could play at this little game of cat and mouse.
The girl was relentless and irritating. Liora was determined to show herself a formidable opponent, despite her past failures within the last hour alone. As an enemy, X acknowledged her admirable persistence to pursue him this far. Whatever "infatuation" she had with him seemed to be the motive behind her actions, yet X's skepticism couldn't be quelled. He was created for a single purpose... and though memories and emotions were the roots behind his existence, they were yet denied to him. X sighed as the situation only seemed to have turned more incredulous than he'd intended it to become. He stood there, silent, with Liora still poised and ready to strike at any given moment. She was taking him seriously as a mercenary...
ReplyDeleteA foreboding cackle chilled the air, one that even made the Akuma girl catch her breath. It was darker, louder, as though it came from the very center of X's being itself. Well, then... guess it was time the Horseman got a serious beating. Outstretching his arm forward, X's weapon materialized from the surrounding shadows drawn to his hand. He stood, weapon held high, as he came to his signature battle stance.
"Alright, Akuma... let's see what you're made of."
She did not hesitate. Grasping the spear with sure hands, Liora advanced as she twirled the spear and forced it downward upon X. He motioned his arm to block the attack and at the precise moment of contact between their two weapons, X flung his arm as he pushed her away with great ease.
"You're wasting energy showing off," Xelixas chastised, a small grin crossing his lips upon seeing Liora's angered expression. She rose to her feet quickly, locking the spear in her arms as she charged towards him head on. It was amusing to see the wheels turning in her head, as though she were prepared for anything to happen... Xelixas struck the tip of the spear downward and Liora came to an abrupt halt as the end planted itself into the ground. He materialized behind her, aiming to strike, but missed as Liora swiftly yet frantically dodged his attack. She poised herself mere feet away from him, a look of utter frustration and concentration commanding her features.
"Good... but your skills are mediocre at best."
She opened her mouth to retort; X teleported closer and grabbed the spear, all the while glaring down at her as he towered above the Akuma horseman. Both her hands gripped tighter upon the cool steel of the spear but neither side attempted to pry it from each other. Liora's eyes searched for any sign of the sight of his eyes beneath his mask, though she met with less than successful results. Xelixas smirked in satisfaction at this.
"Your first mistake is always the cause of your undoing later," he said, feeling a growing resistance from the girl's hold upon the spear. Amusing as it was to see Liora's flustered face, her sudden sneer drew about an ominous air.
"Then I guess it's time for you to become undone." Abruptly, she released the spear, leaving X slightly unsteady, enough for Liora to hound him to the ground. The spear was flung just out of his reach and he was left unable to retrieve it as the Akuma girl pinned him down in a sure but seductive manner. Using the weight of her body she clenched his biceps whilst pushing upon them, leaving his arms indisposed. Her legs squeezed around his hips, rubbing her own rhythmically against him with a most provocative expression adorning her face. It was strange and foreign, yet there arose an echo of the emotion X had experienced upon kissing the horseman girl out of his own greed. He saw now how her lips were slightly parted and were a feverish shade of red... Why she wanted him he still could not begin to comprehend but gradually X found himself no longer questioning, no longer caring whatever the reason may be.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly, at almost the same moment he thought to enact it, X hovered over Liora who now lay helpless upon her back. A pounding filled X's ears; perhaps an accelerated heartbeat? He wasn't sure he had one or not; if not, perhaps he was losing himself to the memories... X grinned wickedly. Showing the young Akuma his face and relaying his true identity was not his downfall...
"On the contrary, Liora..." Xelixas leaned forward and, as if emerging from a river of dark clouds, the helmet dissipated the lower he descended until it vanished altogether by the time he reached low enough to whisper, "... it's you who will become undone."
She could practically feel all the blood rush to her cheeks, the feel of her heart pounding in her chest, surely about to burst. He was so close, those wonderful yellow eyes of his held her own stare captive as she reached up, unconsciously, and caressed his face. She traced the line of his features, to his lips where she ran the soft pad of her thumb across it.
ReplyDelete"Are you sure about that?" She whispered faintly against his lips.
Finally, unable to resist further, she tangled her hand in his silken, dark, spiked hair, pulling him in for the kiss she'd been longing. A kiss, she hoped, he longed for too.
The experience was even better than the last. The weight of his body on hers felt so perfect, so right. His taste was forbidden, tantalizing. . . electrifying. It sent chills through her body; chills that coursed through her and caused her very hands to shake as she slide her tongue across his. Xelixas wasn't far behind either.
The very fact that he let her venture into such a place that he absolutely forbade was a surprise to her. Even more gratifying was that he was returning her affection. His mouth was warm and inviting as he pressed her body close to his. She felt every inch of his lean form and moaned when she felt her breasts push against his strong chest. What would it feel to have him stroke them?
More. . . she needed more! A sudden desperation to rid him of the clothing that impeded her from exploring his body raged inside her. Her nails dug into them, but try as she might, she couldn't tear into them. The suit was like an armor.. made to keep women out his his pants surely...
"Please." She pleaded, not really telling him what it was she was pleading for. She couldn't, not when she was this driven to have him. There existed no coherent thoughts in her mind, the only thing she knew now was that she was taking Xelixas; fast and hard.
No matter how much Xelixas was submerged into the avalanche of sensuality and desire, the ever cool and calculating mind of the mercenary snickered amusingly at Liora's pleading. She was lying herself unabashedly open to him in the way she kissed him, the fervent manner in which she grasped his shoulders, and the near soundless gasps escaping her lips as she searched for some kind of response from him with her body. It was clear how long she'd been waiting for this moment and the utter frustration to have him entirely could not be more evident in the furrow of her brow. Liora was exposing all her weaknesses and X was determined to take advantage of each and every one of them.
ReplyDelete"Ple-," she began again; her pleas cut short with a startled gasp as Xelixas nipped at the base of her neck right above her collarbone. He traced the dip of her skin with his tongue, noting somewhere in the back of his mind that she tasted strikingly like vanilla, until finally sucking eagerly on the hollow groove, feeling the stutter of Liora's heart pulse against his lips. He was rewarded with a shaky moan and a steady undulation of the Akuma's hips against his, but her hands never wavered in strength from around his back.
"Off," Liora commanded, although it came off as little more than a sigh when X moved down from the bruising hickey he'd made, licking provocatively between the valley of breasts and fighting her clothes for every ounce of exposure. His hands reached for the hem of her shirt when Liora's fervently grasping claws suddenly began pushing away.
"You first," she said more adamantly, albeit still breathlessly. Her gaze was firm in the way she glared at him but she was ragged and prey to her instincts; a helpless wolf needing to be released.
Xelixas sneered and purposefully lined his body tightly on top of Liora's. Her responding moan was almost exhilarating. He growled out in a hoarse whisper, "Ah, my Liora... if you want me, you will have to play by my rules."
She narrowed her eyes and grinned slyly. Then, suddenly, she let out a startled gasp as X's hand reached down between her legs and began rubbing slowly, methodically, and passing over that sweet spot with especial delicacy. He circled once, twice, and upon the third extended down to the edge of her arousal-soaked entrance before returning back up. Liora writhed beneath him, even clinging to his arm in her feeble attempts to make him cease the torturous stroking. Her hips would surge upward, searching for more fulfilling friction, to which Xelixas would retract his hand and move down to massaging her inner thigh. His kisses were deep, wet, but brief and whichever action she thirsted for more, X would fulfill the other until it became a twisted, tormenting game.
"You... you bastard," Liora rasped after X left her lips once more and returned his attention to his meticulous caressing of the Akuma's sex.
Xelixas merely cackled quietly at her words. "Trust me, Akuma... This is nothing compared to what I'm prepared to do to you later."
